Technical information

The Area iCOOL 7 MHP is a compact condensing unit measuring 439 mm in width, 1140 mm in length, and 760 mm in height, with a total weight of 135 kg. Its size and surface to capacity ratio makes it an optimal condensing unit for small to medium-scale commercial and industrial operations, in which compactness and high performance are required. Furnished with one 630 mm diameter fan and with an efficient air flow rate of 5496 m3/h to ensure condenser temperature, the unit is also equipped with a 7.1 dm3 liquid receiver tank, a 3/4’’ suction connection and a 1/2’’ liquid connection. The Area iCOOL 7 MHP is compatible with the compressor model C-7RVN153L0A and uses FV68S refrigerant oil. Worth pointing out is its reduced noise levels at only 39 dB, due to presence of acoustic insulators on the surface of the compressor. The Inverter condensing unit Area iCOOL 7 MHP is compatible with multiple refrigerants (R134a, R404A, R448A, R449A and R513A), and is validated by the most rigorous European and global standards, such as CE, REACH, RoH, TUV and ECODESIGN.

iCOOL 7 MHP types of refrigerants

R134a

What pressure does R134a refrigerant work with?
The refrigerant R134a requires a normal running pressure of between 151 and 393 Kilopascals (kPa), or 22 and 57 pounds per square inch (PSI) in order to operate within the temperature range of -3.8 °C, being the lowest temperature, and 4.4 °C, the highest. In case of doubt, consult the pressure temperature chart for this refrigerant.
Why is R134a refrigerant important?
R134a is a secure and environmentally-safe refrigerant due to its non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive properties, and with zero ozone depleting potential. Furthermore, it is a highly-efficient refrigerant as it is capable of vaporizing at low temperatures.
Which refrigerant gas replaces R134a ?
The refrigerant gas R134a is a commonly-used replacement for CFCs and HCFCs refrigerants, due to its ecological properties. The latter have been proven to be detrimental for the ozone layer and the atmosphere. Accordingly, R134a refrigerant gas is an excellent alternative for other commonly used CFCs and HCFCs refrigerants such as R22, R404A and R507.

R404A

What pressure does R404A refrigerant work with?
The R404A temperature pressure chart indicates it can operate with a pressure level of 0.1 PSI at its lowest temperature of -45.6 °C, and 455.1 PSI at the highest temperature of 65.6 °C.
Why is R404A refrigerant important?
It is one of the most commonly used refrigerants in the world due to its non-toxic and non-flammable properties. However, it is now considered as a gas with a high Global Warming Potential and its use is in decline.
Which refrigerant gas replaces R404A?
Initially, R-404A was deemed a safe and efficient alternative for CFC and HCFC refrigerants such as R-12 and R-502.

R448A

What pressure does R448A refrigerant work with?
According to its temperature pressure chart, at the lowest temperature of -70 °C, the required running pressure to liquefy R448A refrigerant gas is of -12.25 PSIG. At the highest temperature of 70 °C, the required pressure is of 456.82 PSIG. The critical pressure required to liquify R448A refrigerant gas at its critical temperature of 83.7 °C is 46.6 bar (4600 kPa or 667 PSI).
Why is R448A refrigerant important?
R448A refrigerant gas is a safe non-flammable HFO blend with low toxicity and Global Warming Potential, making it an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to many of its counterparts.
Which refrigerant gas replaces R448A ?
R448A is commonly used as a replacement for R404A and R22 refrigerants

R449A

What pressure does R449A refrigerant work with?
The critical pressure needed to liquefy R449A refrigerant gas at its critical temperature of 81.5 °C is of 44.5 bar (4400 kPa or 638 PSI).
Why is R449A refrigerant important?
R449A refrigerant is a non-ozone depleting gas and its low toxicity and non-flammable properties make it a safe, efficient and versatile refrigerant gas.
Which refrigerant gas replaces R449A ?
R449A is commonly used as a direct replacement for R404A and R-507 refrigerants.

R513A

What pressure does R513A refrigerant work with?
According to its temperature pressure chart, critical pressure of R513A refrigerant gas is of 37,67 bar (3769 kPa or 546 PSI), at its critical temperature of 96.5 ºC, at which point it will liquify.
Why is R513A refrigerant important?
R513A refrigerant is considered and efficient and safe refrigerant gas as it does not deplete the ozone layer, it has a low toxicity levels and is non-flammable.
Which refrigerant gas replaces R513A?
R513A refrigerant is a direct alternative or replacement for R134a refrigerant gas, and is recommended due to its 55% lesser Global Warming Potential.
